Behandlung von Speichelkontrolle und Sialorrhoe beim idiopathischen Parkinson Syndrom
Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 5:00 PM
The classic motor symptoms of Parkinson’s are well known. However, there are also impairments due to non-motor symptoms. One of these is an increased accumulation of saliva in the mouth, in its maximum form a real flow of saliva, a drooling. This can be very debilitating and yet is only mentioned by a few sufferers - unless you explicitly ask about it during the consultation. Yet, there are excellent treatment options. Ronald Saurugg tells us about normal saliva production, about increased saliva (hypersalivation), frequency and perception among those affected and their relatives, and about the diagnostics and treatment options - something new and exciting.
