Dr. Katarzyna Grebosz-Haring
Priv.-Doz. Dr. Katarzyna Grebosz-Haring is a systematic musicologist and Senior Scientist at the Inter-University Institution Science and Art (W&K) of the University of Salzburg and the Mozarteum University Salzburg. She is co-founder and co-director of the Salzburg Institute for Arts in Medicine (SIAM) and co-chair of the International Network for the Critical Appraisal of Arts and Health Research (INCAAHR).
At W&K, she initiated and led two research programs and established the interdisciplinary focus area Music and Medicine. Her research centers on the psychophysiological, social-psychological, and aesthetic dimensions of music and art, with a particular emphasis on vulnerable groups such as children, adolescents, and older adults with neurodegenerative diseases. She also critically examines the methodologies and interpretations in research on music, art, and health. Dr. Grebosz-Haring is a Fellow of the Salzburg Global Health Program.
Dr. Klaus-Dieter Kieslinger
Dr. Klaus-Dieter Kieslinger is a neurologist at the Wehrle-Diakonissen Private Clinic in Salzburg, specializing in the treatment of movement disorders, particularly Parkinson’s disease. He serves as a medical advisor to the Salzburg Parkinson’s Support Group and is the author of “Parkinson’s Disease: Compact Help for Patients and Caregivers”(Verlagshaus der Ärzte, Vienna).

Dr. Bernhard Baumgartner
Dr. Bernhard Baumgartner studied genetics and molecular biology in Salzburg and Göttingen, conducted metabolic research in Barcelona, and later headed a research group at the University of Göttingen. There, he developed new methods for measuring gene activity and taught in the PhD program of the Max Planck Society.
Today, he specializes in the design and conduct of clinical studies, with a focus on new cancer drugs as well as therapies for allergies and sleep disorders.
Dr. Peter Themann
Dr. Peter Themann is Head Physician at the Tharandter Wald Clinic in Hetzdorf near Dresden. The clinic is certified as a Parkinson's special clinic.
Before that, Dr. Themann was at the Max Plank Institute for Experimental Medicine in Göttingen; Focus on the pharmacology of the dopamine, serotonin and endorphin systems in the CNS.
Dr. Karoline Ostertag
Dr. Karoline Ostertag specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of central movement disorders such as Parkinson's disease, atypical Parkinsonian syndromes, and other neurodegenerative diseases. She focuses particularly on therapy planning in the advanced stages of these conditions, incorporating advanced methods such as deep brain stimulation and medication pumps. Additionally, she is specialized in the treatment of cerebral circulatory disorders. As a clinical trial investigator, she researches innovative therapeutic approaches for Parkinsonian syndromes and other neurological diseases.
Prof. Dr. Gottfried Kranz
Prof. Dr. Gottfried Kranz is medical director at the Neurological Rehabilitation Center Rosenhügel in Vienna. His scientific focus is on the treatment of movement disorders.
